The 1805 Cologne - 1805 was originally derived from a formulation known as the “Palmerston Bouquet” which dated back to the late 1850s. Spray-on and enjoy. The cologne is presented in a beautifully etched traditional bottle with atomiser.

1805 Scent: A fresh oceanic fragrance with top notes of Bergamot, Mandarin and Cardamon, combined with a Lavender, Geranium and Clary Sage heart resting on a Sandalwood, Cedar Wood and Musk base.

WHAT HAPPENED????

What happened to my beloved 1805??? I have been wearing this since the year 2000, and it has completely changed. It is nothing like how it was for 23-24 years. Since about 2024, the formula is completely different and bares no resemblance to the 1805 that has existed since 2000. It is just citrus and then nothing... no warmth or spice, or cardamom, no sea air, or melon, or any kind of floral heart, I can't even sense any lavender, or cedar wood anymore, and the dry down is completely nonexistent... It used to finish with a beautiful sandalwood note. What happened??? What do I do now? I was lucky to have kept a few extra bottles spread around in different places, but now I'm completely out, and I have purchased five bottles since the end of 2024 and in 2025, hoping it was just a weird batch, or that it needed to age (thanks AI, for telling me it was just young, BS, all 5 of these bottles are absolute junk and haven't improved at all). How could you do this? I'm sure I'm not alone in my disappointment. Please fix this so that I can go back to smelling like myself again....

I started with the after shave balm, then purchased the sample pack. It confirmed that this is my favorite one, and I have now purchased the cologne. It is a wonderful scent. In comparison to the others, Sandalwood is the closest, I like it a lot, but give the nod to 1805.
