The Double Edge Razor, together with an open razor, is our most traditional choice and its popularity is on a steady increase as men return to the classic way of shaving. For those men who are not comfortable using an Open Razor, the Double Edge Razor is the perfect choice.

Our specially weighted and ergonomically hand-crafted razors are designed to assist in giving you the smoothest, safest shave possible.

Resin handle available in the following finishes: Faux Porcelain, Faux Blue Opal, Faux Horn, Faux Porcelain and Faux Ebony with a chrome finish.

Our DE razors do not include a blade. Alternatively your local drug store will carry a make of your personal choice depending on what suits your skin type.

To replace the blade one needs to unscrew the handle from the razor head, the head comes apart in two pieces.

You place the blade on top of the bottom plate, place the second piece back on top and screw the handle in and it keeps it all in place.

Tips for shaving with a DE razor:

More caution should be taken when using a DE razor. They cannot be used for a ‘quick shave’.

. Always shave with the ‘grain’ & not against. ( The direction the hair grows)

. Pull the skin ‘taut’ as you shave.

. Light strokes rather than using too much pressure. ( Allow the weight of the razor to be your guide)

. Make sure when placing the blade in the head of razor, you replace the part with the ‘scalloped’ edge face down.

. When choosing blades for the razor , we recommend Wilkinson Sword, as these have the right amount of sharpness. Some blades can be ‘too sharp’.

. Regularly change the blade, as ‘dullness’ of the blade can cause you to cut the skin.

. Follow the regime of pre-shave oil, using shaving cream & finishing with aftershave balm.

A Joy to Use - Wellington Razor

I bought my Wellington Double Edge Razor some months ago, and
have been delighted with it ever since. It's the best I've found, and
I've been using expensive razors for several years. With Truefitt & Hill's
Trafalgar shaving cream, I can get the closest shave I've had so far,
without razor burn. That said, using light pressure seems important.
I'll try their Highgrove cream soon. The smoothness may well be the same.

Amazing Shave

It’s been my first foray into DE razors and so far I’m in love. I’ve tried to get close shaves with cartridge razors and never felt satisfied. I started researching different shaving methods and landed on DE razors. I decided to try T&H’s DE razor and my shaves have never been more amazing. WONDERFUL SHAVING

I’ve been DE shaving for seven years, now. While I’ve enjoyed Truefitt & Hill’s shaving creams (unmatched, IMO), I ignored the razors. However, I wanted razors with a more luxurious appeal. I purchased a Wellington double-edge razor, earlier this year. What a difference! Regardless of the blades used, I get a very close and comfortable shave with minimal effort or technique. I can even shave my head in record timing. The Wellington is an excellent razor that doesn’t get enough honorable mentions in shaving circles. The balance of beauty and efficiency is almost mind-boggling.
