Our traditional shaving soaps are renowned for their superb quality. This lightly scented shaving soap is an ideal way to start your morning routine. The rich, luxurious lather provides you with a closer, smoother shave and the soap is housed in a hand-turned and polished Acacia wooden bowl which is suitable for refills. Subtly scented with lavender.

Some tips for maintaining your wooden shaving soap bowl which will maintain its natural beauty for a long time if treated properly. After you have used up a shaving soap puck, clean the bowl before adding a new shaving soap puck. Handwash only. Wipe clean with mild soap and water and dry thoroughly after cleaning. If the bowl starts to look a bit dry you can rub with a small amount of mineral oil. Vegetable oil is not recommended as it may go rancid after a period of time and can become gummy which can create an environment for bacteria to form.

Back to basics: Truefitt & Hill Luxury shave soap

I've been wet shaving for 65 years - started out when my grandmom gave me a wooden bowl of Yardley Lavender. Used that brand until sometime in the 80s or early 90s when the shop on Bond Street closed. Just purchased a bowl of T&H Luxury and it's been a real treat! Wonderful, very faint and subtle Lavender aroma and a marvelous, comfortable shave. I put a few drops of warm water on the surface of the soap while I wash my face - then work up a great lather on the brush and get it onto my beard. Very slick and protective shave soap. No nicks or bleeders. Very nice indeed!

Trufitt and Hill Shaving Soap

This soap has a mild lavender scent which lasts about an hour; leaves no residue, washing off easily; and produces a good lather but not thick. It does not dry out on your face and does not leave my face dry like many soaps do. I have been trying over a dozen soaps and found that many use fragrance oils which are too strong and perfumery compared to the essential oils. The soaps with tallow form the thickest, slickest lathers but strong fragrance is a problem with many unless you get it unscented or essential oils only. Sticky residue left after washing appears to lie in the formulation of the many ingredients.

A puck lasts a year shaving daily so the price is worth it. This is still my favorite soap.

Shipped and arrived exactly as promised. This is an excelent shaving soap with a pleasant, clean smell. It lathers very well and provides a very comfortable shave. My wife loves the aroma after I'm done shaving.

Great Stuff

Absolutely first class shaving soap. A little goes a long way and when paired with their shaving oil those of us that use a double-edge old fashioned razor are pleasantly suprised. Expensive sure but it lasts a very long time. You'll not be disappointed.

GREAT SHAVES!

I wanted to try this shaving soap so I purchased it about a month ago. T&H is right on with this soap. It gives a very close, clean shave. I will try the shaving cream for my next purchase. I wish T&H would offer a after shave splash with this scent: it's terrific. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.
