Apsley Shaving Cream Bowl

Qualifies for FREE shipping. More info

Our glycerin-based shaving creams are an excellent way to achieve an incredibly close, yet comfortable shave. Although not required, we recommend using one of our badger haired shaving brushes for the optimal shaving experience.
Apsley, named after the iconic London landmark and former residence of the 1st Duke of Wellington, has been formulated to ignite the senses with a refined blend of smouldering woods accentuated by light citrus notes. The harmonious overtones of woody vertivert are lifted with a refreshing essence of grapefruit and are accentuated by notes of pepper, while its heart of cedar- wood and patchouli, which has been enriched by sensual notes of musk, gives an alluring base to this captivating fragrance. Fresh, aromatic, masculine and timeless.

WONDERFUL SCENT, GREAT SHAVE

I was visiting Canberra and had a shave at T&H there - great experience, would recommend. I loved the Apsley scent, so I bought a sample of the Apsley shaving cream and balm there and when I got back home, I bought a tub of the shaving cream. I switched from MWF shaving soap. The first couple of shaves with the Apsley cream weren't that great, but I really love it now and am getting just as good a shave as I did with MWF soap. I would note a couple of things. First, and I read this in another review elsewhere, you'll probably need more water than you think when lathering it up, but eventually you'll get to a really nice lather. Second, when I was at T&H, I asked the barber about her choice of cream over soap. She suggested that if you're using a cream, you should use a pre shave oil as well. I noticed that my shaves with the cream have been better when I used a pre shave oil. I don't have the T&H oil yet, but will buy it when I run out of my current product. Overall, great product.

APSLEY IN THE FALL AND WINTER; 1805 IN THE SPRING AND SUMMER? NEW PRODUCT, NEW CHOICES

Apsley Shaving Cream is a great product and offers a new fragrance that is especially welcome in the fall and winter seasons. When Truefitt & Hill decide to formulate the Apsley Aftershave Balm and Splash products, the competition between them and the 1805 line will begin.

Thank you for your review.
The Apsley Aftershave Balm is now available with more products in the line to come. There will not be an aftershave splash though.

ONLY SCENT THAT COULD DETHRONE THE 1805.

I was immediately drawn to this scent of luxury. My wife absolutely loves it even more than the 1805 soaps and shaving creams which I have been using for a number of years. If you enjoy Hermès scents you’ll find this one just as desirable.
